WLA Members' Summer Event
and AGM
Wednesday 13th July 4-6pm
Inspector Duncan Slade
Policing the new Licensing regime
The countdown to the new
Licensing Act has begun. Operators have only two more months to apply
to convert their existing licences and the new regime will take effect
from 24th November. From that date, Westminster Council and the Metropolitan
Police will be responsible for inspecting your outlets and enforcing
the new Licensing Act.
Are you prepared? What
will it mean for your business? What are the pitfalls and potential
difficulties ahead? How can you make sure you are best placed to avoid
costly mistakes? What are the actions you should be taking now?
Be the first to know the
details and find out what the impact will be on your business by attending
the next WLA members' event on Wednesday 13th July from 4-6pm at
the CC Club, 13 Coventry Street, W1.
Our legal and political
experts will be on hand to guide you through the new regime and advise
on the steps you need to take. Inspector Duncan Slade of the Metropolitan
Police will give a keynote address on the approach the Council will
adopt
The event coincides with
the WLA's AGM and a champagne reception sponsored by
CHAMPAGNE DEVAUX will provide an opportunity to meet informally
colleagues in the industry, learn more about the work of the association,
raise issues of concern and network. It is an event not to be missed.
The invitation is open
to all members of the WLA but we do need to know numbers for catering
purposes.
